This past Sunday, I was pleasantly surprised to see Lincoln automobiles (more than one) driving down the road! It reminded me of those cool summer August nights in Michigan (where I spent most of my summers growing up) with my family. Every Sunday we would all pile into my dad’s old Lincoln Town Car and drive down to the state park located off of Lake Michigan to get soft served ice cream at the local parlor – much like Rita’s here in Maryland.
This past Sunday during my drive I was excited because was not only did I see one new 2014 Lincoln, I saw three. All within a few miles of each other. A Lincoln Navigation, Lincoln MKS, and a Lincoln Zephyr. Prior to that, the only place that I have ever seen that many Lincoln’s in one place was in Michigan. As we all know within the past 10 years there has been a significant decline in Lincoln’s Market Share, and with the elimination of Mercury over the past few years I was afraid that the Lincoln Brand that I grew up loving would be extinct.
But with the recent introduction to the Brand New “Lincoln Motor Company” and it’s Lincoln’s “Hello Again” Campaign, I was pleased to see like many others, there was still plenty of #LincolnLove in our hearts and out on the road.
Being an avid social media user; I’ve been following all of The Lincoln Motor Company’s social media strategy. From the beautiful Lincoln Motor Company Blog Lincolnnow.com; where they discuss innovators in architecture, music, culture, art and how Lincoln integrates all of these elements into their design. Then to The Lincoln Motor Company’s account on instagram where Lincoln shares delicious images of Lincolns, travels, and details of this beautiful automobile. Then of course there is Lincoln’s Facebook & Twitter Pages were they keep you up to date on the latest Lincoln Motor Company News and finally my favorite, the creation of the most simple and effective #hash-tag #Lincolnlove.
So, in my mind and by the looks on the road, Lexington Park Lincoln and The Lincoln Motor Company are doing it right. If you’re looking for a classically designed, luxurious vehicle on a budget all while being conscious about investing back into the American economy; then Lincoln is the one.
So take some extra time on that Sunday afternoon drive to look around on the road. If you see a Lincoln acknowledge it and make sure you say “Hello Again”. These chic and architecturally inspired automobiles represent American Luxury and style at its best.
